Karlsá lodge was added to the Arctic Heli Skiing | Bergmenn Mountain Guides program in 2014. and is owned and operated by Bergmenn just like its sister property RavenHill|Klængshóll Lodge. Built in the late 1920´s but since renovated, the main house is a great example of the architecture and style of the era and all efforts have been made to retain the style and charm of the original structure. After a day of exploring nothing beats relaxing in the outdoor sauna or soaking in the hot tub with the view of the mountains across the fjord. With its amenities and prime location, Karlsá is the perfect location to base out of on your adventure in North Iceland.
ROOMS & AMENITIES
Karlsá has 7 bedrooms that can be configured to sleep single guests, twin beds or up to 3 beds in one room. Amenities include duvet covers, free WiFi, an espresso machine, and an outdoor sauna and hot tub for our guests to relax and undwind. We have thought of everything so that you do not have to.
ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA
Whether you simply want to relax and enjoy the amazing views or fill your days with non stop activities there is something for everyone. The Troll Peninsula is a hub for outdoor activities from whale watching to hiking, mountain biking and ski touring.
LOCATION
It has been said that location is everything and in that regard Karlsá is perfectly situated on the Troll Peninsula. Karlsá is 40 minutes away from the Akureyri airport, 2 minutes away from the cozy town of Dalvík, and 10 minutes away from Ólafsfjörður.

Cozy Karlsá lodge is a hidden gem located in the heart of the Troll Peninsula. It is perfect for a family gathering or a group of friends wanting a base for a few days of adventure in the area. There is direct access from the lodge to alpine summits, fjords, and endless beautiful valleys. The lodge has been recently remodeled with the comfort of our guests being the main priority. The charming atmosphere of the lodge and the views across the fjord are hard to beat.
