With the quaint town of Akureyri only a 45 minute drive in one direction and Siglufjörður only 40 minutes the other way Karlsá is perfectly situated between some of Iceland´s most popular towns.

If you are an avid golfer the do not miss the chance to visit the golf course near Dalvík or the course in Akureyri.

Iceland is a great destination for fishing and hunting. Enjoy the crystal clear waters and the majestic mountains that surround the valley. The fishing season is from April - September & the hunting season is during the fall and early winter.

Wander throughout the hills surrounding Dalvík and gather a handful (or bucket full) of delicious berries. Berry picking season typically runs from August to mid-September.

Visit one of the many horseback riding locations in the area or simply wander through the valley to observe the horses.

There are many valleys surrounding Karlsá offering numerous paths and routes to explore.  Experience the beauty of the valley that can only be accessed by foot.

Icelanders have been enjoying the benefits of soaking in hot tubs and natural hot springs for as long as anyone can remember. Large or small, almost every community in Iceland has its own public swimming pool. We highly recommend a visit to one of the many pools in the area.
